Welcome to the Neely Arts Center! We’re excited about your interest in our program. There’s nothing more rewarding than the experience of music.

As renovation continues of the former Neely Theater, our desire is to service our community with a quality lesson program, performing arts center, music store and recording studio.

As we begin our sixth year, we are offering group classes in piano, Kindermusik and our brand new class – Art! Private lessons are available in piano, guitar, drums, bass, violin and voice. We can proudly say all of our instructors are qualified, have a love of the arts and enjoy sharing their gift of teaching. Students have many performance opportunities which include Covered Bridge Festival Pancake Breakfast, June Fling, CASA concert, nursing home recitals, civic events, church services and student showcases. We are excited to finally be housed in one location. The Neely Arts Center can boast of the Kindermusik/Group piano room, Studio A, and the newly completed Art Classroom and Studios 1, 2, 3 and 4. The back portion is still a work in progress, but when completed, will house the recording studio. We now have an in-house stage for student performances and other acts.

The music store is located in the front portion of the building. Squire by Fender will be the main guitar line featuring affordable Artist Series instruments. The store is primarily for student convenience as it carries piano books, guitar accessories and drum sticks. Other items can be special-ordered and rental instruments are also available.

Our web-site contains class/lesson information and schedules, on-line registration, instructor bios and e-mail, event calendar and building progress.

Thanks again for your interest in the Neely Arts Center. To share music with our community is a gift and a privilege.

Sincerely,

Randy and Deborah Beason

A few words from the NAC...

Practice
Consistent practice time is expected of each student. Continual reassignment of a piece or song would suggest the need for more effective practice. Each student will progress as quickly as the assigned material is sufficiently mastered. Since the lessons are progressive, a piece is never passed until satisfactorily learned. Each student will be provided a guideline for practice totals, based upon age, level and other factors. Regular, concentrated, daily practice and regular lessons will lead to a student's progress; therefore receiving the maximum benefit from the program. Parental involvement is an often overlooked, but very necessary component of the learning process. Younger children especially need "hands-on" parental help and encouragement.

Materials
All students need to speak with their instructor regarding materials needed for their specific class or lesson. All books, paper, tapes, CDs, etc. can be purchased through the Music Store. Students are responsible for purchasing necessary items prior to the beginning of their lesson or class. There will be no merchandise given on credit.

Please no food or drinks in the studios. Finish all snacks and make sure hands are clean before the lesson/class time.
