Group Art
The art class is for individuals who desire to explore their gifting in the visual arts. This will be a hands-on experience with many different mediums. Many unique opportunities arise from this new class. Class objectives include creativity, self-expression, color mixing, technique, texture art, drawing objects, cartoon-drawing, and exploration with water colors, oil pastels, clay, graphite, colored pencils and more. Activities vary weekly as class dynamics are flexible. Thematic elements will be added during the holiday seasons. The art classes will be small groups of 8 or less divided into age categories i.e. ages 5-8 and ages 9-12. If the student must miss a class, the assignment will be given and they will be encouraged to complete the activity before the next week. All students must exhibit proper behavior for a group situation. Parents are welcome to stay for class, but not required to do so. Each student must purchase all materials required by the instructor and be prepared at each class.
