Randy Beason: Private & Group Guitar, Bass, Drums

A musician since a young age, Mr. Beason has taught privately for over 25 years. He was the Director of Gardendale School of Fine Arts for 5 years and is beginning his fifth year as owner of the former Blount School of Music, now the Neely Arts Center. Randy attended Berry College on a music scholarship where he received his Bachelor's degree in music and business administration. He has played in numerous bands throughout the years from the southeast to the west coast. For the past 10 years he has served as Minister of Music. Mr. Beason operates the music store and recording studio. He is married to Deborah Beason and together they have five children: Elisha, Zachary, Christopher, Jessica and Hope.

Deborah Beason: Kindermusik

Mrs. Beason has been a pianist since the age of 5. She has participated in numerous competitions and performances throughout the years and also performed on the televised program "Artist's at Work" while still in high school. Deborah competed in the Miss Alabama pageant several years, placing in the Top 10, receiving the preliminary talent award and special talent award. She was awarded scholarships to Birmingham-Southern College where she received her Bachelor's degree in music. Mrs. Beason has been a church pianist, an accompanist for stage productions and also the guest pianist at the Wynfrey Hotel. She has taught private piano for 20 years and is beginning her sixth year as a Kindermusik Educator. Deborah and her husband, Randy, have five children and they reside in Oneonta.

Sara Towns: Private and Group Piano

A talented pianist, Sara is beginning her sixth year with the Neely Arts Center. Throughout her many performances and competitions, she has always performed well and received outstanding ratings. She was awarded a performing arts scholarship to Snead State where she attended one year. She then received a full tuition music scholarship to Birmingham-Southern College where she has recently graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Music Education. Sara is a member of concert choir and is a BSC accompanist.

Jackie Manes: Violin

A native of Oakland, California, Mrs. Manes graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a bachelor's degree and then received her Ph.D. from Rutgers University in microbiology. She began playing the violin at the age of 8 and continued throughout high school & college. She has performed with school orchestras, Youth Symphony Orchestra, numerous amateur and professional theater orchestras and chamber music performance classes. Mrs. Manes has taught private violin lessons five years and is continuing with the Neely Arts Center for her sixth year. She frequently plays with Tom Pickett & Chris Green. Jackie resides in Oneonta with her husband Dr. Mike Manes and their two children, Caitie and Matthew.

Lynda Rhymes: Private & Group Voice

Mrs. Rhymes is continuing for her second year with the Neely Arts Center. She has previously taught private voice students and was the elementary music teacher at Susan Moore and Cleveland Elementary for 3 years. Mrs. Rhymes is currently the Children's Music Coordinator at Union Hill Baptist Church. For the past 5 years, she has been director of the summer music camps and she is also the director of preschool music. Lynda has studied at Wallace State College and Samford University and has previously worked at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. She resides in Blountsville with her husband, Bill and their 3 children Lealvy, Ann and Douglas.

Brandy Salamone: Kindermusik, Piano

Mrs. Salamone is a graduate of Jacksonville State University where she also received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She is employed as a 4th grade teacher at Southeastern Elementary School and she is a nationally licensed Kindermusik educator. She has played piano since a young age and received her Minor in Music. Brandy is beginning her fifth year with the Neely Arts Center. Mrs. Salamone attends Oneonta Second Baptist Church where she plays piano. She is married to Caleb Salamone and they reside in Nectar.

Jason Stevenson: Guitar, Drums, Bass, Computer

Jason started playing guitar in the 2nd grade. At the age of 12 he started playing the bass, put his first band together and began writing computer programs. While studying music education at the University of North Texas, he started his own business putting together a team of live sound engineers in Dallas and freelanced as a studio engineer. He then moved to South Florida to pursue other business ventures for 11 years. Now he resides in Walnut Grove with his wife Diana and his 2 children Andrew and Amanda. Jason is in his second year with the Neely Arts Center.

Cherie and her husband, Michael reside in Oneonta with thier three children. She has her Masters Degree from UAB and teaches at Snead State Community College and Appalachian. They are members of First Baptist Church in Oneonta.

Jodie Wilson - Private and Group Piano, Kindermusik

As a piano student, the love of piano theory was instilled in Jodie Wilson. While still in school, she taught private piano and she is now joining the Neely Arts Center as a private and group piano instructor and Kindermusik educator. Her creative enthusiasm and her love for children are reflected in all she does. Jodie studied Industrial Design at Auburn University and has a successful online business (“Doodle Bows”) of designing and making girl’s hair accessories and monogrammed gifts. Mrs. Wilson is very involved in the community as Kindergarden Room Mother and past president of the Agigaue Women’s club. She resides in Oneonta with her husband Tyler Pickers and their two daughters Katie, 6 and Mary Tyler, 5.
